INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Former Indiana Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann was announced as Ivy Tech’s new president Wednesday.
Elsperman says, “This is a big job and it is crucial to the future of not just Ivy Tech, but, in many ways, the state.”
Ivy Tech State Board of Trustees Chair Paula Hughes said, “Sue brings the right mix of experience in different areas, from higher education to public service to workforce and economic development.”
Ellspermann is the first woman to hold the position as Ivy Tech president.
Indiana’s new Lieutenant Governor, Eric Holcomb, was sworn in in March.
