INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — You will be able to buy a beer or wine at the Indiana State Fair this year.
State fair officials say demand is driving their decision to allow alcohol at the fair.
This after the state legislature lifted a ban on alcohol at the state fair 2 years ago.
That ban had been in place since 1947.
Alcohol will be available at evening concerts and adult events such as the rodeo, monster trucks and horse racing.
There will be designated areas for people to drink throughout the fair.
