Decatur County Memorial Hospital will be hosting their annual Healthy Fair that offers a free lunch to everyone who attends on June 25th.
Nearly 800 residents are expected to attend the event that offers vision, skin cancer, bone density and blood screenings. Attendees will also have an opportunity to donate blood during a drive.
There will be many door prizes given away and children can enjoy any of the two bounce houses or the newest feature this year, Nine13Sports Bicycle Challenge. This challenge features eight stationary bicycles hooked up to a big screen TV which encourages kids to race across the screen in friendly competition.
Also, attendees can tour a LifeLine medical helicopter and Decatur County ambulance, learn about fire safety in the Greensburg Fire Department’s Safety House and enjoy a mini Farmer’s Market.
The Healthy Fair serves as a chance for people to interact with the community’s health care professionals and learn how to make the most out of all the resources that are available in and around Greensburg that ensure community well-being. Over 70 booths will be present with thirteen offering free screenings and all booths will provide reliable information on a wide variety of health topics.
This year’s fair will be held at Greensburg Elementary School. For more information you can check out the Healthy Fair’s web page.
