The Bulldogs’ relay groups have tightened exchanges and maintained stronger back-half splits in recent meets, an area that could prove critical in a sectional format where margins are often narrow.
Individually, swimmers such as Alexis Schiller, Emma Miller, and Cora Miller have continued to trend toward season-best performances, while contributions from Samantha Adams and Reillee Adams have added depth to the lineup. That balance has allowed Batesville to remain competitive across a range of events rather than relying on a single scoring focus.
The Bulldogs have emphasized race execution down the stretch, focusing on starts, turns, and finishes—key elements at a sectional meet where advancement often hinges on small technical details. Several swimmers enter the meet positioned near qualifying standards, giving Batesville flexibility in both individual events and relays.
With a mix of experienced upperclassmen and younger swimmers gaining confidence late in the season, Batesville heads to East Central and a competitive sectional field looking to translate recent progress into postseason results, McMullen said.
