Biosolids Ordinance Now on the Books in Decatur County

(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Commissioners unanimously approved the biosolids ordinance on 2nd reading this week.

County Attorney Chad Smith presented the ordinance to commissioners, who were asked by an audience member who would police it.

Commissioners said the ordinance contains fines, which are $5,000 per incident.

It was the last meeting for outgoing commissioners Mark Koors and Tony Blodgett. Their colleague Jeremy Pasel thanked both Koors and Blodgett for their service to the county and presented each man with a glass plaque as a token of appreciation for their efforts.

Brian Wenning and Gabe Nobbe will begin their terms as county commissioners in January.
