(Napoleon, IN) – Congratulations to Kelli Cobler.

The Napoleon resident and North Decatur High School graduate and her mini horse named Aurora received the “Reserve World Champion” ribbon in Mini Western Showmanship at the Pinto World Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma over the weekend.

“It was pretty exciting. I haven’t been showing (mini horses) very long,” Cobler said. “My daughter has been showing for years and I’ve always kind of been her sidekick watching. So when she went to college I decided to purchase a mini that had only been shown by a 4-Her before.”

Cobler says she’s had Aurora for two years.

“Showmanship is all about working with your horse,” she added.” I lead her through patterns on the ground and it’s always been my favorite class. I was beyond excited.”

The event drew competitors in a variety of categories from all over the United States and some from Canada.
