(Batesville, IN) – Mayor John Irrgang and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club say Batesville’s Independence Day Parade and the Hillcrest Fireworks Show are returning this year.
The celebration begins on July 4 at 11 a.m. with the parade.
City officials say floats are welcome, but other entries will be accepted such as tractors, golf carts, bikes, big wheels, wagons, tricycles strollers, clubs/groups, and walkers, who are invited to bring their dogs.
Pre-registration is not required.
Lineup will start at 10 a.m. on Mulberry Street by the Batesville Memorial Pool and the parade route will be:
- Step off and head south on Mulberry Street.
- Turn left on West Pearl Street.
- Turn right on Main Street.
- Turn left of Catherine Street.
- Turn right Park Avenue.
- Parade ends at Liberty Park.
You’re urged to wear your most festive and patriotic red, white and blue.
The next night, July 5, everyone is invited to watch the fireworks display hosted by the City of Batesville and Hillcrest. The show will begin sometime between 9:45 and 10 p.m., and can be viewed throughout most of the city.
