(Versailles, IN) – South Ripley High School (SRHS) plans to honor the athletes, coaches, and contributors who have left a mark on the school’s athletic legacy through the establishment of the South Ripley Athletic Hall of Fame.
Individuals must be nominated to be considered for induction, and should have distinguished themselves through significant achievements as a student-athlete or coach, or through meritorious service to SRHS.
In addition, former student-athletes who have brought distinction to SRHS through their post high school achievements are also eligible for consideration.
Nominations will be considered by the South Ripley Athletic Hall of Fame Committee. The school says these committee members, drawn from the South Ripley community, are committed to upholding the highest standards of athletic excellence.
Nomination forms will be accepted from the public and must be received by November 1 to be considered for the current year’s class. Nominations for those not selected for induction in the first year, will be considered for an additional five years before a new nomination will be required.
Up to eight members will be selected for induction in the inaugural 2025 class.
School officials say the 2026 class will include up to six new inductees, with up to four members being inducted in subsequent years, to ensure that the Hall of Fame continues to recognize excellence across generations.
Each year, new inductees will be recognized at a varsity basketball game, with an official banquet to be held in the spring so that each inductee will have the opportunity to celebrate this
accomplishment with family and friends.
