Amy Bulach Kurelic, 52 years old of St. Leon, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. A devoted mother to three girls, she never let a day go by without telling them how much she loved them. Amy constantly reminded them that she loved them to the moon and back, always double checking that they truly understood how deep her love for them was. And her love didn’t stop there. She adored her husband, Rick, and her seven grandchildren who called her Mimi. Rick, her girls, and the grandbabies were Amy’s world and her love surrounded them on a daily basis. Amy was also blessed with amazing parents and siblings with whom she was very close. She was the oldest of seven children and tended to be the motherly type and the peacemaker of the family who rarely fought with anyone. Everyone in Amy’s family would agree that she was easy to talk to and never expressed judgment upon anyone. Even the babies of the family felt her gentleness and she was known as the magic baby holder, often seen in pictures holding someone’s baby.
As for her other loves, the color purple has to be at the top of the list. From her purple car, to purple grout in her office, to the color of water in her toilet…everything had to be purple! She also loved her Diet Mountain Dew and, of course, her dog, Phoebe. She enjoyed hunting deer and trapping coyotes. Many knew Amy through her profession of a tax accountant where she had over 700 clients that depended on her. This was how Rick and Amy met and soon after you could find the two of them riding a Harley in all the local benefit rides.
Amy will be deeply missed by her husband, Rick, of eight years, her children Emily (Tyler) Rodgers, Alyssa (Jason) Welte, Molly Vogt, and Cody (Kristal) Kurelic; grandchildren Gemma & Belle Rodgers, Paisley & Mackenna Welte, Aleeah, Hunter & Gunner Kurelic; parents Jerry & Carolyn Bulach; siblings Nicki Hart, Becky (Marty) Hoog, Mandy (Tony) Wilson, Jeff (Shelli) Bulach, Gina (Jonny) Hoffman, Stephanie (Blake) Collins; nieces and nephews Ava & Javan Hart, Paige, Maggie & Peyton Hoog, Jackson, Miranda & Noah Wilson, Luke, Jake, Sam & Dean Bulach, Ellie & Paxton Hoffman, and Baby Collins.
