(Milan, IN) – Susie Fidler was hired as Milan Community School’s new athletic director at last week’s school board meeting.
Fidler begins her new duties on July 1 and replaces John Prifogle, who was named Milan Intermediate/Middle School Principal last month.
Prifogle served as Milan AD for 14 years.
A native Hoosier, Fidler graduated from Cloverdale High School and also taught and coached there for five years.
She has spent her entire career in education and sports through teaching, coaching, and serving in supervisory roles including athletic director.
In particular, Fidler coached volleyball, basketball, and track.
This past year she was the Athletic Director at Muncie Burris.
Fiddler holds many degrees from Indiana State University including a Bachelor of Science in Math Education, a Master of Science in Recreation and Sports Management, and a Master of Education in School Administration and Supervision.
During his tenure, Prifogle served on the case review panel for the Indiana Department of Education/Indiana High School Athletic Association and has been a member of the Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Board of Directors for nine years serving as district director and mentoring chair for the State of Indiana.
Milan Community Schools offers 19 sports to students in grades 6-12.
“Milan is proud that we are a small school with big opportunities for our student-athletes,” said Superintendent Jane Rogers. “We are excited to welcome Susie Fidler to our community.”
