The Batesville Bulldogs competed at the East Central Boys Track Sectional
on Thursday, finishing in a tie for second with South Dearborn with 74 points. East Central won the team title with 121 points. The Bulldogs had 3 individuals and 1 relay qualify for next Thursday’s Regional at Greenfield Central.
Regional Qualifiers for Batesville
Batesville’s lone Sectional champion was Jake Chapman, who ran a 9:55.49 in the 3200m run.
The Bulldogs also had two Sectional Runner-ups finishes. Ayden Eckstein finished second in the high jump (6’4″). In the 4x800m relay, the team of Jake Chapman, Isaac Trossman, Deev Ranka, and Cannon Clark finished in second place with a time of 8:21.56.
Finishing in third and qualifying for Regionals was Hudson Kohlman in the pole vault with a top height of 11’0″.
