(Blooming Grove, IN) – INDOT plans to close State Road 1 between Fairfield Causeway and Laurel Road the day after Memorial Day.
The closure is for bridge replacement near Blooming Grove, and the agency says the road won’t reopen until the end of October.
The official detour is from State Road 101 to State Road 44 to Laurel Road.
Locally impacted drivers can use Laurel, Shady Lake, and Stone Church roads to get around the work zone.
However, using Shays Road as a detour is not recommended because it has a low-water crossing.
