(Greensburg, IN) – The City of Greensburg, HWC Engineering, and Main Street Greensburg will host public input sessions at City Hall next week on the downtown streetscape revitalization project along Washington and Franklin streets.

An open house for residents and the general public is scheduled for Noon on Monday, May 22, with a separate session planned that day for business owners who will be impacted by the rehab project.

Plans call for five blocks of curb, sidewalk, street, and other improvements along Washington Street from City Hall and proceeding to the north side of the Courthouse Square, plus the east side of the square along Franklin Street.

The $4.5 million project was part of the city’s READI grant application last year and will be funded using various state and federal programs.

The design phase is expected to take the rest of this year, with bids awarded in January.

Construction is slated to begin in March 2024 and continue through the end of next year.
