Edith M. (James) Hostetler of Moores Hill passed away at the age of 94 on Friday, April 21, 2023 at St. Elizabeth-Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Edith was born on Monday, September 10, 1928 in Aurora, Indiana, daughter of the late Edwin and Nola (Satchwell) James. Edith married the love of her life, Harry “Dick” Hostetler, on July 4, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2014. Edith was a former member of the Moores Hill United Methodist Church, which she was very involved with. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and the farm life. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family.
Family members who will cherish Edith’s memories are her three children: Mike Hostetler, George Hostetler, and Thomas Hostetler (Dee) all of Moores Hill; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many great great-grandchildren.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Nola James, husband Harry Hostetler, son Ed Hostetler, and brother Edwin Bruce.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Edith to the Donor’s Choice.
