Greensburg/Decatur County, IN — The Greensburg Police Department and the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office are warning residents about a familiar scam hitting the area.
Authorities say someone is going to houses, particularly those of the elderly, and claiming their loved ones have been arrested and try to get money from residents.
Greensburg Police and Decatur County sheriff’s deputies say they will never send someone to your house to tell you a loved one has been arrested.
If you have elderly people in your life, you should let them know this is going on and make sure they don’t give anyone money.
