UPDATE: Driver, truck allegedly involved in hit-and-run located

Switzerland County, IN — We have an update to a story we told you about on Monday involving a pickup truck vs. bicyclist collision.

The Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office has located the vehicle and driver allegedly involved in the hit-and-run on State Road 56.

Deputies say the driver struck the bicyclist near the Switzerland/Ohio County line on Sunday and fled the scene.

No other details about the incident have not been released.

Switzerland County, IN — The Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of a pickup truck involved in a bicycle accident over the weekend on State Road 56 near the Switzerland/Ohio County line.

Deputies say a man on his bike was northbound on 56 when he was hit by the pickup, which was traveling in the same direction.

Investigators say the pickup driver fled the scene.

Deputies are on the lookout for a black Chevrolet Duramax with tinted windows, large tires, and damage to the passenger side mirror.
