STATEWIDE — The cost to fill up the gas tank in Indiana is making its way toward $5 a gallon.
Triple-A says the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the Hoosier State is a new record $4.76 per gallon, which is 16 cents higher than the day before.
The organization says drivers in Indiana were paying $4.03 per gallon a month ago.
At this time last year, a gallon of regular unleaded in Indiana was averaging $2.98.
The cheapest gas can be found in Scottsburg, where it is going for $4.25 a gallon.
