Overnight storms leave mostly power outages, downed trees

SOUTHEASTERN IN — Area emergency responders say there were no major problems caused by severe storms overnight Friday into Saturday.

All watches, warnings and flood advisories issued by the National Weather Service were canceled early Saturday once the potentially dangerous weather moved out of the area.

Crews from Southeastern Indiana REMC and Duke Energy were restoring power early Saturday to areas affected by outages.

Franklin County was placed under a Yellow travel advisory due to flooded roadways. Yellow is the state’s lowest travel advisory level.

The county highway department removed a number of trees that blocked county roads.

Ripley and Decatur counties each reported downed trees and power outages.

There were no reports of storm-related issues from Dearborn County.
