Versailles, IN — Early morning on Wednesday, The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office and the Versailles Fire and Rescue were dispatched to an accident that doesn’t happen every day. When crews arrived on the scene of the accident on US 421 south of Versailles, a single vehicle had struck multiple mules in the roadway.
Two mules had escaped from an area farm and were standing in the roadway where they were hit by William Ramsey. Though Ramsey had minor injuries from the accident, the two mules died at the scene from injuries.
