Cincinnati, OH— Do you love the convenience of getting cash while getting your groceries and skipping a stop at the atm? Well, Kroger stores are now charging a fee to get cash back at the register.
The grocery chain recently announced a minimum 50-cent charge on debit card cash-back transactions.
The fees will work on a scale based on the requested amount, with a 50-cent charge on all cash-back requests under $99.99. Customers requesting between $100 and $150 back will be charged $1.50, those requesting between $150.01 and $2,000 will be charged $3.50 and requests between $2,001 and $9,999, a $6 service fee will be applied.
