Deborah Ann Gabbard, 58, of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in Rising Sun, Indiana.
She was born August 4, 1959 in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late Cecil L. Hissong and Kathleen (King) Murphy.
She worked as a Secretary for Gayle Hamilton GHI Inc.
Deborah was licensed by the state of Indiana Wildlife Rehabilitation, she was an animal whisperer. She also cared for the elderly. Deborah loved to garden, it was like therapy to her. She also loved to take coffee on the porch at sunrise, horseback riding and just being outdoors. She was content to sit with her husband and watch a movie or a concert.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Terrance “Turk” Gabbard, children, Joshua C. (Crystal) Workman of Brookville,, IN, Amber N. (Steve) Cochran of Aurora, IN; siblings, Paul R (Janet) Murphy III of Ohio, Michelle Henderson of Hamilton, OH, Robin M Murphy of Rising Sun, IN; grandchildren, Cody Lee Workman, Justice Kathleen Cravens, Jade Aerowyn Cravens, Ziza Kaleesy Kyra Cochran and Joshua C. “LJ” Workman II; and her best friend, Missy (Casey) Rayls.
She was preceded in death by parents and her step father, Paul Roger Murphy, Sr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Life Church, 201 W. Conwell Street, Aurora, Indiaan.
