Lady Bulldogs And Lady Bengals Split Volleyball Battle

VolleyballThe 7th grade BMS volleyball team lost to a strong serving Greendale team 25-13, 25-20.

Game 1 was a struggle. In game 2 the team played with more enthusiasm and confidence. It showed with Nikki Fox earning 2 kills and Laine Struewing earning 1 strong kill. Kylie Laker was the leading server connecting on all 9 of her attempts earning 7 points including 4 aces. McKenna DeFreese earned 8 points while going perfect on all 8 of her service attempts. According to Coach Ehrman, DeFreese and Paige Stirn also had solid passing from the back row.

The BMS 8th grade volleyball team picked up a strong team win by the scores 25-22; 19-25; 15-10.

This was a huge morale boost as they were able to avenge the loss to the team that ousted them from last year’s tournament. Abby Westerfeld connected on 18 of 20 serves earning 14 points including 5 aces. Jade Pflum provided a spark from the service line in the first game earning 4 points including the game winner. The team did an outstanding job of setting up the attack on a consistent basis. Macy Prickel was the top spiker going 17 for 19 at the net with 7 kills. Westerfeld and Kayla Meyer chipped in with 4 and 3 kills respectively. Pflum and Anna Bauer each had a kill in the winning effort.

The win improves the team’s record to 3-1 on the season.
