Indians Battle Knights In Swimming

SwimmingThe meet at South Dearborn went well for the swim team.

The boys brought in a victory with 74 points, despite not having a diver to compete with the Knights.

Nathaniel Walter came in fourth for the 100 Freestyle and Backstroke. Zach Seithel had two second place finishes in the 50 and the 100 Freestyle. Brandon Summers came in first for the 100 Backstroke and second in the 200 IM. Dillon Richardson received first in 200 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke. Jarrod Nichols came in first in the 50 and 500 yard Freestyle swims. Alex Volz came in second for the 200 freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke. The Boys relays did well with both the 200 medley and the 200 Freestyle relays bringing first place finishes, and the 400 Freestyle relay having a second place finish.

The Lady Indians put up a good fight against the South Dearborn Knights at the meet, coming in second with 39 to their 122.

Jessica Nichols was victorious in the 100 Backstroke and brought in a third place finish for the 50 Freestyle. Marisa Combs brought in a fourth place finish for the 100 Butterfly and a fifth place finish for the 200 Freestyle. Jordan Healy came in 200 IM and the 100 Freestyle swim. Tori Haessig came in 200 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke. Rebecca Schmidt came in fourth for the 50 Freestyle and fifth in the 100 Backstroke. The Ladies relays did well with both the 200 and the 400 Freestyle relays coming second.

The Ladies did their best and look forward to meeting the South Dearborn Knights again this Saturday at the South Dearborn Invitational.
