Batesville police investigate armed robbery at Great Clips

BATESVILLE, Ind. – Batesville police say an armed gunman held up Great Clips hair salon in Batesville Wednesday night.

The armed robbery occurred around 8:50 p.m. and employees told police the man demanded money from the register and their cell phones.

The suspect exited with an undetermined amount of cash and was last seen walking around the north side of the business.

A K9 tracked the suspect a short distance but was unable to locate him.

The white man is described as 5’8” to 6’0” weighing 165 to 175 pounds, wearing blue jeans a dark colored hoodie, a dark colored toboggan and a fake beard.

Batesville Police Chief Stan Holt says the robbery may be connected to several others that have occurred at hair salons in the Tri-State since early summer.
