Zoning Board overturns vote for homeless shelter

Seymour, IN—The Seymour Board of Zoning Appeals has overturned a decision by the Seymour Plan Commission and has granted a land-use variance to a local developer to build a homeless shelter on the east side of the city.

A standing-room-only crowd filled council chambers Tuesday night with many people speaking in favor of the proposed project. No one from the crowd spoke in opposition.
