HOLTON, IN — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident near Holton that injured a seven-year-old boy.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon around 2:45 on private property along the 3800 block of West U.S. 50.
The initial investigation indicates the boy lost control of the machine and struck a tree.
He was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in North Vernon and later transported to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis for treatment of facial and abdominal injuries.
Investigators say the boy was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
