Napoleon, IN—Textile Arts will be the focus of this year’s Art Show. The Show will be held March 6-8 at Ye Olde Central House.
They are currently accepting entries for the show. Items should be recently made items in addition to those made by your ancestors. Textile arts include knitting, crocheting, tatting, counted cross-stitch, macramé, lace, wool stitching, cross-stitch, hairpin, lace, English smocking, needlepoint, etc. Quilts will not be included in this show, but will be featured in July of this year at the Central House.
Items for this show do not need to be made or stitched by a Ripley County resident as required in previous shows . Tatted tablecloths and hankies, crocheted baby blankets and bedspreads, and needlepoint pictures of your home are also suggested entry items. Please make sure the entries are in good repair and clean. Some show entries will be from the 21stCentury and some may be representing skills of early settlers from the 16th-20thcenturies.
