(Batesville, IN) – The 23rd annual WRBI/Hoxworth blood drive collected a number of units for the blood center.
During Wednesday’s blood drive at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Batesville, a total of 64 units were collected, which Hoxworth says will potentially save up to 192 lives.
Fifty-nine volunteers offered to donate.
Hoxworth says the blood collected at this week’s event will help ensure there is an adequate blood supply for patients in the community and goes to save the lives of family, friends, and neighbors throughout Southeastern Indiana and other parts of the Tri-State.
Hoxworth Blood Center is the sole provider of blood products to over 30 Tri-State hospitals, including Margaret Mary Health.
