BATESVILLE, Ind. — Wood-Mizer co-founder Dan Tekulve passed away this past Saturday.
Tekulve was 71 years old. Tekulve alongside Don Laskowski, was responsible for inventing the thin-kerf portable bandsaw mill that led the establishment of Wood-Mizer in 1982.
Throughout the formative years of the company, Dan had a hand in engineering a variety of products.
He was also integral in the faith-based programs for Wood-Mizer including the equipment donation program for missions and charities that is still active today.
After 22 years with the company, Dan retired from active involvement with Wood-Mizer in 2004 but remained as Chairman of the Board until 2007.
Wood-Mizer is honoring Dan for his many years of service to the company and dedication to helping others through Christ.
