(Greendale, IN) – An Aurora woman died while first responders attempted to airlift her to the hospital from a two-car crash on eastbound U.S. 50 in Greendale Monday afternoon.
Police say 52-year-old Christina Reese was trapped in her car after it collided around 4 p.m. with a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old.
Reese was cut out of the wreckage for transport to the landing zone set up for Air Care to take her to UC Medical Center.
Police say Reese’s condition deteriorated before the flight and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in her car was taken to UC Medical Center with serious injuries.
The 17-year-old who was driving the other car escaped injury.
The crash remains under investigation.
