(Aurora, IN) – A Dearborn County woman was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of Battery on a Child Resulting in Bodily Injury.
50-year-old Amy Katenbrink of Aurora was arrested at her home on charges stemming from an investigation by Indiana State Police Versailles Post detectives that began on March 13.
The Indiana Department of Child Services contacted ISP after receiving information that a child was allegedly battered by an adult female at a home in Aurora earlier that morning.
Troopers say, while speaking with DCS case workers and the victim, investigators saw that the child sustained visible injuries as a result of the alleged battery.
After the investigation concluded and the case was presented to the Dearborn County Prosecutor’s Office for review, a warrant was issued for Katenbrink’s arrest on a charge of Battery on a Child with Bodily Injury (Level 5 felony).
Katenbrink is being held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center pending an initial court appearance.
