Greensburg, In. — Fifth and sixth graders with the Wired Knights robotics team from St. Mary’s School in Greensburg had very successful season.
In November they competed in “FIRST” (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics qualifying tournament. The tournament was hosted by Purdue Polytechnic Institute of Columbus.
Out of 24 teams in the “FIRST” competition the Wired Knights were first overall and earned a trip to the Indiana FIRST Lego® League Championship.
On December 1 the team traveled to the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville and earned the top award for strategy and innovation, fourth place for in robot competitions.
