Wilma Jean (Fisher) Disbro, 89, Moores Hill

Wilma Jean (Fisher) Disbro, 89, of Moores Hill passed away Friday, December 19, 2025, at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg. Wilma was born on Saturday, December 12, 1936, in Glasgow, Kentucky; daughter of Earl and Inus (Caudill) Fisher. Wilma marred Dorrance “Pete” Disbro on May 5, 1954, and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2003. Wilma loved raising flowers and was known to especially love roses. She spent time watching birds and enjoyed when cardinals would visit her. She was known to make the best fried chicken, enjoyed listening to her favorite singer Loretta Lynn, and had fun going out to play bingo. Most of all Wilma was known for dearly loving her family.

Wilma will be missed by her sons Wendle (Tina) Disbro of Dillsboro and Marvin (Angela) Disbro of Aurora; daughter Sharon Bradley of Patriot; brothers Glen (Laurie) Fisher of Price Hill, Dale Fisher of Moores Hill, and Gary Fisher of Aurora; sisters Joyce Bruns of Batesville and Donna (Roy) Strom of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Inus Fisher; husband Pete Disbro; children Darrell and Shirley Disbro; and 3 brothers.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Wilma from 10:00-11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Wilma to Moores Hill Fire & EMS.
