William E. “Bill” Yorn, Sr., 66, of Greensburg passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at home with his family by his side. Bill was born on January 7, 1950 in Rushville to Louis F. Yorn, Sr. and Helen R. (Priddy) Spears. He was married to Mabel “Kay” Powers on June 3, 1971 and she preceded him in death on October 4, 1998. Bill was an avid guitar player and most of his time was spent playing guitar in a band or solo for his family and friends. He also watched Gunsmoke and Bonanza almost every day. He was an all-around great guy who loved spending time with his family and friends. Bill is survived by a son; William E. “Bill” Yorn, Jr., Greensburg, a daughter; Laura Kay Yorn, Greensburg, 4 brothers; Jimmy Yorn and Kelly Spears, both of Greensburg, and Steve and Robert Taylor, both of Texas, one sister; Shirley Yorn, Greensburg, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons; Nick and Tom Yorn, and two brothers; Butch and Johnny Yorn. Visitation will be at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 15 from 11am to 1pm with funeral services starting at 1pm with Pastor Barry Morton officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family through the funeral home.
