The Franklin County Wildcats beat The Rushville Lions on Thursday Night to finish conference play at 10-4 on the year. The Wildcats are currently in 2nd place in the EIAC with some teams still needing to finish their conference slate.
Garrett Ertel got the win on Thursday, battling through FC defensive woes to pitch into the 6th inning. Brady Brandenburg finished off the game for the Wildcats.
Offensively, the Wildcats jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first two innings. Chase Burton, Joe Fields, Garrett Ertel, Remy Watters all had multiple hits in the game.
Franklin County will travel to Cambridge City Lincoln on Friday night to finish the regular season. The overall season record is now 16-6.
