BROOKVILLE, IN — Franklin County native Curtis Ward has announced his candidacy for State Representative in House District 55.

Ward was elected to the Brookville Town Council in 2016 and currently serves as Council President.

He is touting initiatives designed to improve the quality of life in Brookville such as receiving the PreservINg Main Street Pilot program with Main Street Brookville Inc. and the Hoosiers Enduring Legacy Program (HELP) designation with Franklin County.  Ward says both initiatives showcase the importance of collaboration between groups and government entities.

Ward graduated from Franklin County High School in 2006 and was awarded the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Franklin County that year.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Indianapolis in 2010.

Ward’s wife Catrina is a fellow Realtor and his business partner in several ventures.

The couple has three children (pictured).
