Wanda May Brown, 84, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in Lawrenceburg, IN.
She was born October 3, 1932 in Kentucky, daughter of the late Richard and Hattie Elison Leigh.
Wanda attended the Manchester Methodist Church years ago. She enjoyed quilting, was a member and president of the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary Post 231. She was an excellent cook and well known for her Blackberry Cobbler and bisquits & gravy.
Surviving are children, Jack (Patti) Brown of Manchester, IN., Linda Brown Carver and Bill Brown both of Aurora, IN. and Sharon (Tim) Stewart of Munster, IN.; siblings, Shirley Girdler of Brookville, IN, Geraldine King of Fairfield, OH, Joann (Eddie) Pratt of Millville, OH and Ed (Connie) Leigh of Okeana, OH; grandchildren, Brian Alexander, Josh Brown, Andy (Mel) Alexander, Eric (Coty) Brown, Brett (Erin) Stewart, Matthew Stewart and Tara Carver, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown, Zach Alexander, Remmington Brown and Lexie Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 64 years, Orville Brown and several siblings.
Friends will be received Thursday, November 10, 2016, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Charles Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
