Jac-Cen-Del came up on the short end of a 3-0 volleyball final against Waldron. The Mohawks won 25-13, 25-14 and 25-18.
“After a much needed two night break, the Lady Eagles took on the Waldron Lady Mohawks,” said JCD coach Cat Schmeltz. “The Eagles had to play catch up the first two sets and struggled to keep the pace. The third set was a much different story and saw the Lady Eagles lead much of the set before eventually falling to the Mohawks. We struggled with Waldron’s quick offense and didn’t make it hard enough for them to get them out of system. We made some tactical changes towards the middle of the second set which made a huge difference in our competitiveness. While we started out a little rough, I was impressed with the resilience our girls finished the match with.:
