Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

(Brookville, IN) – The Franklin County Clerk’s Office is reminding voters of some key dates before the May 7 Primary Election.

The last day to register to vote or transfer your registration is Monday, April 8 by 4 p.m. in the Clerk’s Office. You can also register to vote by going online to Indiana Voters dot IN dot Gov.

Tuesday, April 9 is the first day that a voter may cast an absentee primary election ballot before the absentee voter board in the Franklin County Courthouse. Those hours are:

  •            April 9 thru April 12              8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  •            April 15 thru April 19            8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  •            April 22 thru April 26           8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  •            April 29 thru May 3               8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Voting hours will be extended until 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 and Thursday, May 2.

Saturday hours and locations are as follows:

  •             April 27                                     8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  •             May 4                                         8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Clerk’s Office, 459 Main Street, Brookville;

Ignite Church (a.k.a. Church on Fire) 1170 State Road 229, Batesville;

New Trenton Volunteer Fire Department, 5138 Depot Road, New Trenton.

Monday, May 6 at Noon is the last day to vote an absentee ballot before the absentee voter board in the Clerk’s Office.

Those voters who wish to vote by mail or have the traveling board come to their house to vote, may contact the Clerk’s office for an Absentee Ballot Application.  Call (765) 647-5111 extenstion 3 for an application or if you have any questions.

Thursday, April 25 is the last day for the Clerk’s Office to receive an application to vote by mail.

 

 

Saturday voting will be held on April 27 and May 4 from 8 am to 3 pm both days at the Clerk’s Office and at Ignite Church – the former Church on Fire – in Batesville and at the New Trenton VFD Fire Dept. May 6 at Noon is the last day to cast an absentee ballot in the clerk’s office.
