Vonda S. McClanahan, 62 of Milan passed away Thursday May 10, 2018 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Vonda was born June 10, 1955 in Milan; the daughter of Sammie and Amanda (Riley) Morris. She married Harold “Shorty” McClanahan and he preceded her in death. Vonda was a bartender for many years at the Irish Bowl in Moores Hill. She was a member of the Milan American Legion Auxiliary Post #235. She was a social person, never meeting a stranger. She enjoyed fishing and traveling.
Vonda is survived by son: Kasey (Elizabeth) McClanahan of Aurora; Warren (Stephanie) Davidson Jr. of FL; daughter: Lora McKittrick of Batesville; sisters: Mary (Jerry) Bowles of FL; Joanne (Tony) Griesehop of Greensburg; Brenda Shinkle (Terry Berry) of Moores Hill; Gale Rumsey of Milan; boyfriend: Ron Mills of Milan. 3 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Sammie and Amanda Morris, husband Harold McClanahan, one brother: Sammie K Morris.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will follow at Craven Cemetery south of Milan. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Monday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Milan American Legion Auxiliary Post #235.
