Versailles Courthouse Square Historic District Added to National Register

(Versailles, IN) – The Versailles Courthouse Square Historic District is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The designation provides benefits for district property owners to help them maintain and preserve their buildings, with access to grants and tax incentives.

It doesn’t limit what property owners can do with their buildings unless they accept and use federal tax incentives or grants.

Other properties in the area that are on the National Register include Tyson Methodist Church, Versailles School and the Tyson Activity Center (formerly known as Tyson Auditorium), the Ripley County Courthouse (pictured) and the Fernando G. Taylor Home, which houses Schuerman Law Firm.
