Vernon Hensley, age 76 of St. Leon, Indiana passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in West Harrison, Indiana. Born May 24, 1943 in Manchester, Kentucky the son of Walter and Mae (Webb) Hensley.
Vernon graduated from Clay County High School, married Pam Fox on November 9, 1971 in Covington, Kentucky. Vernon worked for General Motors for 33 years as a welder. Member of St Leon American Legion Post 464, St Leon Coon hunters and was very involved with St Leon town council for many years.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife Pam Hensley, daughters Christine (Dave) Bullock of Chesterton, Indiana and Beth Hensley of Zionsville, Indiana. Grandpa of Shelby and Colby Bullock. Brother of Carol (Ralph) Gilbert of Union, Kentucky.
Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mae Hensley and siblings Otha Richmond, Nora Thompson, Bernice Byrd, Emily Bauchman, Oscar Hensley, McKenley Hensley, Walter Hensley Jr and Gilbert Hensley.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 29 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Wade Hicks officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery St. Leon, Indiana with military honors provided by US Army and St. Leon American Legion.
