Velma J Schmid, 71, of North Bend, Ohio, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 in North Bend, Ohio.
She was born July 26, 1949 in Harlan, KY, daughter of the late Charles Sergent and Claudia (Tucker) Sergent.
Velma worked as a Manager for Smitty’s Lounge. She was an avid reader and she loved the beach. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Velma is survived by her children, Benjamin Cordell of North Bend, OH, Stephanie Thatcher of Lawrenceburg, IN, Robert Schmid of Lawrenceburg, IN; grandchildren, Dylan Cordell, Ryan Thatcher, Caleb Schmid, Jordan Schmid, Lexi Schmid and Skylar Schmid; several brothers and sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Schmid.
A celebration of life to be scheduled at a later time.
