(West Harrison, IN) – Perhaps you or someone you know was stuck in it, but a traffic nightmare took place on I-74 near West Harrison during the Monday evening rush hour and beyond.
All lanes of the interstate were blocked after westbound vehicles crashed into concrete construction barriers around 5:30 pm, including an Amazon semi.
One of the vehicles involved caught fire, however, Indiana State Police say minor injuries were reported as a result of the multi-vehicle pileup.
All lanes reopened around 11 pm.
This was the second accident that took place in the construction zone along the Whitewater River bridge in the past few weeks.
A semi collided with a concrete barrier in the westbound lanes in the early hours of May 26, which snarled traffic on the interstate for several hours that morning.
