UPDATE: Vandals damage at area event location

Ripley County, IN

Update — It has been confirmed by Sunman Police and Sunman Utilities, by reviewing security footage, that the damage to the signs was caused by the weather delivering high winds to the area.  Officials with Ripley County Reads have made plans to replace the signs at the Sunman Park though they said the Holton Park signs were damaged by vandalism and will not be replaced.

Original Story  — Due to vandalism, the Ripley County Reads committee has had to remove two of the six Story Walk activities in the area parks. Vandals ruined the stories at both Holton Community Park and Sunman Park.  Due to a limited budget and time, the committee was not able to replace the damaged signs.

There are still Story Walks available at four parks in the area.  They are:

Pangburn Park – Versailles

Brum Woods -Batesville

Osgood Trails – Osgood

Daren Baker Memorial Park – Milan
