Brookville, IN—The lettering is back up on what is now the Valley House Flats in Brookville. The $11 million project has funding from many sources including investors, historic tax credits, low-income housing tax credits, a 10-year tax abatement from Brookville, and a private opportunity zone investment of $2.2 million.
The restoration and expansion of the historic buildings on Main Street in Brookville are near completion. No date has been announced for a grand opening because work is continuing inside and outside with finishing touches and landscaping. They are, however, hosting tours this Friday, Saturday and Monday at 11 am, noon, 1, 2, and 3 pm. Tours will take approximately 45 to 50 minutes and as there is no elevator, you must be able to walk stairs.
