(Rush County, IN) – The Rush County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person killed in a house fire early Sunday morning.
Seventy-seven-old Tonya Vanosdol died after flames engulfed the home in the Arlington area.
The State Fire Marshal and Rush County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating the cause of the blaze.

(Rush County, IN) – One person is dead following a house fire in Rush County early Sunday morning.
The Rush County Sheriff’s Office says firefighters arriving at the scene near Arlington around 4 a.m. found the house fully engulfed.
Crews were told there was an adult still inside the home.
That person was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rush County Coroner’s Office.
The victim’s name is not being released, pending notification of family members.
The cause of the deadly blaze is under investigation by the State Fire Marshals Office and the Rush County Sheriff’s Office.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends affected by this tragic event,” reads a statement from Rush County Sheriff Allan Rice.
