(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Water Utility has issued a Boil Advisory following a water main break in the Quail Meadows subdivision.

The advisory is in effect until further notice for Whippoorwill Drive, Meadowlark Lane and Dove Court.

A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.

It is recommended that you boil all water used in the preparation of food and beverages for consumption for two minutes.

Water used for laundry, showering, shaving, and watering grass or plants is safe to use without boiling.
