Batesville, IN—Late Friday afternoon, Batesville Police and Batesville Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of State Road 46 and Mitchell Avenue for a motor vehicle accident between a passenger car and motorcycle. The initial investigation revealed Eykis B. Fullenkamp, 20, of Batesville was traveling eastbound on State Road 46 operating a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
While traveling eastbound, Fullenkamp had a 2009 Pontiac passenger car, driven by Rose M. Foster, age 59, pull across his lane of travel attempting to access Mitchell Avenue. As a result, Fullenkamp’s motorcycle collided with the front portion of Foster’s vehicle, causing Fullenkamp to be ejected from his motorcycle and be thrown into the curb of Mitchell Avenue. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. Fullenkamp was subsequently treated by Batesville EMS and transported to Margaret Mary Health for further treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
