DEARBORN COUNTY, IN — Two people were rescued after their car went into a lake off Shale Road near Leatherwood Creek in Dearborn County just before 2 am Thursday.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arriving at the scene found the pair sitting on top of the car as it took on water.
Deputies rescued a woman while firefighters used a boat to rescue a man.
Both victims, whose identities were not released, were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lawrenceburg Fire and EMS, the Miller-York Fire Department, and Manchester Fire & EMS.
